Greasy hood. A common affliction of almost every household. When it is dirty, it does not look aesthetically pleasing, nor does it function properly. But thanks to regular maintenance, this kitchen appliance will work better and last longer, and sometimes you shouldn't forget about its deep cleaning.
A hood is very important in every kitchen. This is because it is an appliance that helps to eliminate all kinds of smells, smoke or even dangerous toxins. This is also why it is necessary to keep the hood perfectly clean. If this is not the case, a dirty hood can in the extreme case cause a fire.
Of course, the best thing is to regularly wash the hood. If it is done only in bursts, the whole process is much more demanding and exhausting. If you use this kitchen appliance on a daily basis, it is advisable to clean it at least once a month. Also think about washing your hood at office cleaning, where almost none of the colleagues usually want to wash.
However, the entire cleaning and washing process around the hood is relatively simple. But you can't do without rubber gloves. Natural and chemical cleaning agents can cause unpleasant harm to human skin.
First, remove dust particles from the hood. Focus on the dust that is attached to the grease. Afterwards, wash the outside of the kitchen equipment using hot soapy water. For resistant grease, use vinegar, which you will also use for others household cleaning.
After that, focus on the inside of the hood. Don't forget the metal filter, which you soak for a few minutes in a special mixture of water, a few spoons of baking soda and detergent. Then scrub it with a special brush.
Subsequently, all that remains is the textile or carbon filter, which, however, does not need to be changed every time it is cleaned. Focus on these filters only when you find them inherently dysfunctional.
Finally, polish the entire surface of the hood, due to the sensitive surface, with a special microfiber cloth.
