The ban on single-use plastics will come in July

What individuals save is easily accumulated in the company. Therefore, the right path to our better ecological future is to push the market harder to find better than disposable solutions.

Although public pressure can be used to realize godly goals, the accompanying stormy discussion, which is the daily reality of discussions and social networks, is no longer a healthy and sunny way of spending free time. Public anger is not so easily measured.

A more pragmatic and healthier solution for the human psyche is to influence the market laws of the jungle through regulations and prohibitions. She will find some innovation. It also has measurable practical effects.

Let's ban single-use plastics!

And it is here that we pull together as Europe. We don't want any more guilty feelings about seeing seahorses tangled in plastic. From July 1, based on a directive from the European Parliament, disposable plastic tableware and other disgusting components such as balloon holders may not be put into circulation in our country.

We list them below in the text, but before that we want to ask you, what do you think is the biggest struggle in your workplace?

In our country, the top-grossing hit parades are led by:

• Plastic bottles from Nealk - but we haven't used them for a long time, man, instead we have two filter kettles for water and that's how I drink together here.

• Glass bottles - from beer and wine, there are always plenty of them after parties (hooray, we can meet again) - we recycle everything, regardless of the remaining alcohol after corporate team building. And our cleaners were instructed a long time ago where to collect it.

• Coffee capsules - we would quite like to get rid of them, but fortunately they are also recycled. In other words, the Nespresso company recycles its capsules and regularly comes to us for used coffee, so it is a certain band-aid for the Kraken that they released with the invention of their capsules.

• Food and lunch packaging - here we are slowly looking at Re-boxes and organic packaging, but there is nothing that can be done about it other than the fact that they are about to be banned. We are very curious to see what will happen and whether we will all be willing to shoot returnable packaging within half a year. The single-use plastic pandemic has waved its way up!

Products affected by the ban on marketing (resale of stocks may continue for another year):

From 1 July 2021 at the latest, none of the following products must be placed on the market and from 1 July 2022 on shop shelves, even if they are bioplastics:

• Plastic cotton buds

• Plastic cutlery, plates

• Plastic straws and stirrers

• Plastic sticks for balloons

• Containers for food and drinks from expanded polystyrene

• Products from oxo-degradable plastics

The reduction in consumption applies to the following:

• Plastic containers for food, when the food is intended for immediate consumption, without further kitchen preparation

• Plastic drinking cups, including their lids

• Cups made of cardboard with an inner plastic coating

• Bioplastic cups

In 2022 we will have to report what numbers we have achieved, so the commitment is not strictly given.

The charging of plastic bags reduced their consumption by 80%, so it is not excluded even for plastic packaging for food and drinks.
