We donated refrigerators to the Children's Home in Dolní Počernice

We will help when we can. This is one of our slogans that we try to live by at EkoBIT. Most recently, we donated seven brand new refrigerators to the Children's Home in Dolní Počernice. We are glad that it is in this home that they care so much about education and try to provide the children with the best possible preparation on the way to adult life.

And do you know what the main creed of this Children's Home in Dolní Počernice is? It is the return of children to their families, to help them experience a more pleasant childhood and to prepare them as best as possible for an independent life. We also learned that during our visit, and everyone working here is the right person.

The history of this Home is very varied. It began to be written as early as 1923. There are currently forty pedagogues, three accompanying pedagogues and field social workers working there.

The capacity of this Home is 83 children and their system works in such a way that 6 to 8 children live in a family group and 4 teaching staff take turns with them. The family group has to do their own shopping, cooking, ironing, cleaning, etc. The system should resemble a family as much as possible, which we as EkoBIT appreciated during our visit.

They also have starter apartments for departing children after completing their studies. Children will receive a training payment at the beginning of the month. In the middle of the month, they will come to pay the rent and fees for utilities and services. Otherwise, they take care of everything independently, but they also belong to the family group and plan everything together.
